We are in the middle of an unprecedented time in the history of the world – what has been called the first global pandemic. Whole populations throughout the world have had restrictions placed on their movements. Economies have been shrinking at record rates. Business are struggling and jobs are disappearing fast.

Indalo Transport have certainly chosen a challenging time to launch the next phase of it’s development in Southern Spain, the Indalo Storage Warehouse.

About the same size as an aircraft hanger, the new facility will enable the highly regarded Removals Company to offer a range of products and services, to the local community, to expats looking to re locate to or from Spain and to the European Removals trade.

Whilst most of Europe was under lockdown Mick Cox, founder of Indalo Transport, didn’t sit still and wait for things to return to a new normal. He set about establishing a business that he had identified as being much needed in southern Spain, and the Mojacar area in particular. That business is a storage facility for the local population of this beautiful area of Almeria province, and also a hub for removal companies travelling between Spain and other parts of Europe.

The first stage was to secure a warehouse, and he found a huge one entirely by chance, through an offhand comment while sourcing a new vehicle for the existing business. Situated a stones throw from the lovely Mediterranean Sea at Palomares, the Indalo Storage Warehouse is the home of the Indalo Pod. This is a simple and effective method of storing household furniture for members of the public and trade alike. The warehouse also acts as the new and improved base for Indalo Transport, a high quality pan-European removal service established in 2013, and which has grown steadily over the past few years helping hundreds of people move their precious lifelong possessions across Europe.

According to Mick, the lockdown helped him to establish the new business. The enforced break of a few weeks gave him time to develop, and properly plan, the idea that had been on the backburner for the past few years. It meant he could also plan the best way to deal with the ending of the transition period and the fulfilment of Brexit on December 31st this year. All the planning is already bearing fruit, as, even before the official opening, the business has expanded far quicker than he first thought. There is more furniture in storage than ever before and trade assistance has seen Indalo Transport helping UK removal companies store and deliver removals right across southern Spain.

“We want to be the first choice for people looking for storage facilities locally and the only option for people looking to move their goods between Spain, France, Ireland and the UK. We also look forward to welcoming more international removal companies to our fabulous facility and helping them with our trade services”

“In these troubled times, I have also decided to offer all local Spanish businesses a large discount on storage, to help them to weather this storm that has devastated so much business throughout Spain”.

“Our team is committed to providing outstanding service at all times. We already have a reputation for the highest quality and service – doing the best job we possibly can is a core value that has made us stand out from many others in our industry; it’s that ethos that I am committed to bringing to storage and to removal trade assistance”.

So what else could Mick possibly offer through Indalo Storage?

“Oh, we also have a shop. Our Self-Pack Store sells everything you could possibly need to pack and store any household item. We sell only the best quality packing materials; they must be the best because they are the materials that we use ourselves to take care of our removal clients’ lifelong belongings”.
